CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Contributing to Our Community
Through partnerships and volunteer opportunities, DAU contributes positively to the surrounding community. Some examples of how DAU has supported the community:

	Bryant Adult Alternative High School - DAU has maintained a comprehensive partnership with this Virginia high school since 1994. DAU provides classroom career presentations and participation in career days; hires students for part-time employment; donates computer equipment to the school; and supports activities to raise money for a scholarship fund.
	Urbana High School - DAU provided a mentoring and job shadowing day to members of the Supply Chain Management Program at Urbana High School in Illinois. Students were introduced to acquisition subjects and engaged in simulations and exercises involving critical thinking and problem solving.
	Easter Egg Hunt - For the past 20 years, DAU has hosted an Easter egg hunt for the Fort Belvoir Exceptional Family Member Program, which helps soldiers whose families have special needs.
	Breast Cancer Run/Walk - Members of DAU South region participated in the 3rd annual Liz Hurley Ribbon Run and Survivors' Walk sponsored by the Huntsville Hospital Foundation and the Huntsville Track Club. The proceeds benefited the Liz Hurley Breast Cancer Fund and the Huntsville Hospital. This fund was established in 1999 by Liz Hurley, a breast cancer survivor and popular Huntsville television personality.
	Wellness Fair - DAU West Region employees received lipid panel screenings, cardiovascular plaque tests, HbA1c, and flu shots. Healthy employees have a direct impact on a healthy business, and that directly impacts the bottom line.
